• “One doesn’t stop seeing. One doesn’t stop framing. It doesn’t turn off and turn on. It’s on all the time.”
  • — Annie Leibovitz

  • Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If I you can’t feel what I'm looking at, then I'm never going to get others to feel anything when they look at my pictures.
  • My obsession with photography began in the early 90's. My first camera was a fully manual Pentax K1000. No LCD screen, no flashing lights and no menu items to wade through. I used 35mm film and a 50mm 1.8 lens. I soon upgraded to a Nikon N6006 film camera, an inexpensive zoom lens and a "used" vivitar flash unit. I took the plunge and began shooting weddings. It was stressful and all consuming but I kept shooting. I was straight out of graduate school with a Masters Degree in Fine Arts and an insatiable desire to take "the perfect image." Photography was the love of my life.
  • I combined my passion for taking pictures with my second love - teaching. I taught photography at several universities, colleges, schools and arts organizations. My knowledge grew greater the more I shared it with others.
  • I hope you enjoy my portfolio of mages as much as I have enjoyed making them.
